Alternative Archers!

Being in The Archers has changed my life. Of all the things I do it's the one people want to know most about, even my fellow actors. I'll never forget when Jonathan Pryce once tapped me on the shoulder and said "There! I've always wanted to touch an Archer!"

Talks & Presentations

Talks on The Archers are much in demand and suit a variety of organisations. I've been guest speaker for Women's Institute, Rotary Clubs, societies and associations - even prisons! Talks last from twenty minutes to an hour and are intended to be fun and entertaining as well as giving a flavour of what it's like to be in one of England's best known institutions.

I teach presentational skills for the National Asthma Training & Research Centre in Warwickshire and have developed themed role play exercise for conferences. My favourite was when I was asked to play several characters based on true life case histories, ranging from a sixteen year old girl who thought taking medication for asthma would ruin her sex life - to a feisty seventy year old lady dying from emphysema...

Voice-overs

I've worked as a voice artist for many years and enjoy the challenges thrown at me. I can scream like a suffocated carnation (not happy with the branded weed killer) and I can yowl like a cat (outraged by the inferior quality of carpet upon which it was sitting)....

I've done a lot of training tapes and am told that my voice is soothing and encouraging, calming the nervous. I'm versatile and quick, speak French fluently and have a smattering of Spanish. I pick up accents and intonations fast and my secret dream is to voice cartoons.
